GROW YOUR MOM BRAIN - The Creativity and Lifestyles Conference will feature four nights and three days of all-star festival stages, music showcases, film screenings, poetry readings, theatrical presentations and heady academic stuff, in down and dirty settings, with a special focus on women who are mothers.

Performances will take place at prominent NYC venues such as Nola Studios, Bowery Poetry Club, Arlene's Grocery, Bleeker Street Poetry Slam (open to all), The Slipper Room & Riverside Park South in Association with New York Parks Dept and culminating at a FREE OUTDOOR MaMapalooza FAMILY-FRIENDLY CONCERT with Summer On The Hudson on Sunday May 31 from noon - 5PM. 
 
In addition to intellectual fare, we'll feature workshops and discussion groups for women, mothers and family partners to explore subjects like: 'The Woman Inside The Mom' and life coaching, love coaching, financial well-being workshops, rock and roll makeovers, women-made film and art presentations, comedy intensives, and book readings.

Schedule is as follows with some programs developing:

Thursday May 28th DAYTIME - Nola Studios ARM Conference, with keynote by Paula Kaplan. Film screenings all day.
EVENING - Kick off party, Arlene's Grocery Rock Club 6PM with Mom Band performances til 11PM
Friday May 29th DAYTIME - Nola Studios ARM Conference, with keynote by Phyllis Chesler. Film screenings all day.
EVENING - Hot Mama Burlesque - The Slipper Room, 8PM
Saturday May 30th - Nola Studios ARM Conference, with keynote by Dr. Andrea O'Reilly. Film screenings all day.
AFTERNOON - Bleeker Street Poetry Slam. Poets and activists take to the streets, reading 'Mom Poetry'.
EVENING - Full Metal Mama Comedy, Broadway Comedy Club, 6PM
EVENING - Bowery Poetry Club, MaMapalooza and Demeter Press Poetry Reading
Sunday May 31st - Summer On The Hudson, Outdoor Concert and MaMapalooza Festival with mom-music, vendors and food.
Registration:
ARM presenter registration form (deadline April 15 for presenters)
Regular Presenters: $250 for full 3-day conf/$125 day rate
Student Presenters: $175 for full 3-day conf/$100 day rate
MAMAPALOOZA Discounts for MAMAPALOOZA Members - $75 per day or $30 per session.


*We are looking for 10-20 women who would be interested in hosting a table in our registration room. Possibilities include hosting small round table discussions, one on one counseling; financial, personal or familial, selling and signing books and/or merchandise.

In addition to showcase slots, Mamapalooza and The Association for Research & Mothering (ARM) present: MAdness Oppression and Resistance" featuring keynote address by Phyllis Chesler, Author of "Women and Madness" and Paula caplan, PhD.

The Conference as well as MAMAPALOOZA festival stages are open to submissions from the following types of artists: ALL projects featuring or including

        * MOM talent
        * KID bands whose members are 16 or younger
        * FAMILY bands
        * DAD bands featuring members who are DADS
        * GRANDMA bands
Please note: At least one member of your project must either be a Mom or a Dad artist. We are holding several slots for Sonicbids members. First time performers have gone on to become featured parks performers in subsequent years, propelling them into the spotlight, and reaching thousands of new fans.
