WHAT is MAMAPALOOZA?
MAMAPALOOZA is an ‘Umbrella' organization, linking creative Moms & Moms in the Arts throughout the world, offering support, visibility and a common cause for celebration. It's our intention that Event Coordinators, Participants, Sponsors, Partners and Communities will all benefit.
Is MAMAPALOOZA only open to musicians?
MAMAPALOOZA is open to EVERYONE. However, our stages focus on Women who are Mothers in the Performing Arts. There should be one Mom in your project to qualify. We welcome mom dancers, writers, and even clowns; Mamapalooza hosts rock concerts, comedy nights and poetry readings. Some events have a little of everything.
SHOULD we charge money for our event - Yes, unless your event is underwritten through a parks dept., or other umbrella organization. There are financial forms to fill out at the end of each event.SHOULD we charge money for our event?

How do I get involved?
Make sure to fill out the online JOIN form (it's free). This puts you in touch with our Newsletter, which announces all happenings. MEMBERHSIP allows us to include you on our MAMAPALOOZA online roster and place you on stages. We also work hard to promote and connect you to the press, networking and other performance opportunities.
IS MAMAPALOOZA a competition?
No. We are here to offer opportunities to women artists from all walks of life. The atmosphere is generous and supportive among all professionals and semi-professionals alike. Events are fast-paced, organized, and entertaining. Stages with sound system and backline must be considered.
IS MAMAPALOOZA a non-profit?
MAMAPALOOZA FESTIVALS are currently licensed to the Motherhood Foundation 501c3 for May's festival dates. The Foundation has been established to create, produce and present visual, literary and performing arts events celebrating, nurturing and supporting motherhood and the activities of mothers. The goal is that through their MAMAPALOOZA experience, creative moms may become artistically empowered, and financially educated.
HOW can I coordinate an event?
Contact our New York Office. Write Joy@mamapalooza.com or call 877.711.MOMS (6667) to request an ‘Event Coordinator' Packet. Since MAMAPALOOZA is protected by trademark, you'll need to fill out a licensing form and have approval before moving forward. Individuals, as well as commercial enterprises and community-based associations are all welcome to contact us.
HOW do I hold auditions?
The general rule of thumb is we try to find a place for everyone. Sometimes this means adding a stage, or an additional evening of performances. But, the bottom line is your event belongs to you. You make the call on how to best craft your event.
CAN anyone participate?
Anyone can come to a Mamapalooza Event. Stage performers should have some prior experience. MAMAPALOOZA is a professional and semi-professional festival for Mothers in the arts. We also have spaces for vendors and community outreach.
When does MAMAPALOOZA take place?
MAMAPALOOZA events happen all throughout the year, however the Mamapalooza Festival happens each May with locations throughout the world, continuously on different days and nights, throughout the month the entire month.
WHAT is a Mom Band?
A Mom band must have at least one mom member, and play music that has something to do with her life as a domestic diva, or mommyhood, her musings as a mature woman; in general be influenced by the cultural phenomenon of Contemporary Motherhood or Mom Rock.
