TASTE OF LADERA BRINGS TOGETHER CELEBRITIES, TOP CUISINE AND ENTERTAINMENT TO HELP LOCAL CHARITIES
Ladera Ranch, Calif. - (April 20, 2010) - On Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd, the Taste of Ladera will feature more than a menu of fine local eateries.

Orange County’s most legendary rock group Lit will be headlining the weekend with their modern rock hits that include “My Own Worst Enemy” and “Miserable.” Also joining the line up is the English Beat whose influential pop/ska sound topped charts with songs like “Mirror in the Bathroom” and “Tears of a Clown.”
In 2004, Taste of Ladera was created as a non-profit,501 (c) (3) organization to raise money for local charities, schools and programs in Ladera Ranch, all while having a great time! The Taste of Ladera is a grassroots organization, founded and operated by friends and neighbors of Ladera Ranch. Founder Michelle Patterson has been the visionary behind this amazing event since its inception. Shortly after she and her family moved to Ladera Ranch, Michelle knew she lived in a very special community. Her passion for helping others led her to an idea for creating an event that could combine the efforts of local restaurants and businesses to fundraise for nonprofit organizations. Over the course of a few neighborhood BBQs, Michelle and her neighbors brainstormed and found a way to connect local residents, businesses and restaurants to build a family friendly festival that everyone could enjoy. The Taste of Ladera was thus born. It has grown from a small afternoon event to a two-day festival and expo for local businesses and charities.
The first MaMapalooza event took place on a single stage in Manhattan in 2002. One concert grew to many and gave birth to a grass roots movement of global proportions, putting women, mothers and families at the center of every experience and raising awareness of their value as consumers and constituents.
MaMapalooza Festivals and Events use arts, culture and education as a hub for social outreach and empowerment. With talent and event content provided by an ever- growing roster of artists, musicians, comics & authors complimented by women-owned businesses, and social services we pack six large-scale venues in major metropolitan areas for the MaMapalooza Festival every May. We also host over 40 additional stages throughout the month, including clubs, theaters, universities and coffee houses in communities ranging from Mankato, MN and Columbus, OH to Sidney, Australia.
